About Neat Places

Neat Places is an essential guide to Christchurch. We profile the city’s distinctive restaurants, cafés, bars, shops, galleries and people. On the See & Do page you will find a list of everything from festivals and Christchurch-based publications and websites to local bloggers and community projects.

Our aim is to unveil the treasured places, faces and spaces and celebrate the spirit of this very unique city. Whether you’re a local or just visiting, you’ll find something here that tickles your fancy. And if you are taking a little trip then we profile the best places to go in Dunedin, Oamaru and Wellington too! Just so you know, businesses do not pay to be listed on Neat Places. We write about them because we like them. That’s all.

Neat Places is a work in progress. If you can’t find your favourite place, feel free to drop us a line and we’ll check it out. Neat Places is also a collaborative effort so if you would like to lend a hand with the writing or photography for the site, then let us know.
