Smokehouse

Smokehouse restaurant.

Smokehouse – its service is second to none and has a really nice vibe. Although the place could be roughed up a bit.

Samo Coffee

Samo's sign at Samo Coffee.

The story of Samo’s is not a simple one. Firstly the cafe was Lyttelton Coffee Company on London Street (or is LCC the sister cafe to Samo’s?), then it moved to The Loons on Canterbury Street post February and then, after June, across the road from The Loons to a container and under a new name ‘Samo’s’.

The Beach Cafe

Staff at work at The Beach Cafe.

The Beach Cafe is popular with sporty folk and dogs. In fact, dogs are so welcome that there is even a page in the menu dedicated to our four legged friends.

Cargo Bar

The fireplace at Cargo Bar.

Despite the clichéd names for bars popping up around Christchurch, Cargo is a fine establishment offering young professionals a reasonable environment to enjoy an after work drink.
