Adding to the businesses already at home in The Archive on St Asaph Street, Room Four provides the art and performance element of a space that includes the Darkroom bar, RDU radio station and Galaxy Records. An ‘open studio’ and community art space, the gallery was opened by four graduate fine art students in the middle of 2012. Feeling the dearth of creative places in Christchurch, the founders took it upon themselves to fill the gap that was left by the loss of galleries and venues

Time Travellers Museum

A popular culture museum set in the unexpected location of the curator’s garage in Oxford, North Canterbury, Time Travellers is not your usual cultural offering. In fact, expect a rather surreal experience. Enter the museum through a Tardis and into a narrow hallway with walls covered floor to ceiling in original movie posters from eras gone by
