Café Metro (Ferrymead)

The Metro used to be a rather special café where revelers would sit and enjoy a coffee before or after a show at the Town Hall. Now there is an empty site where the café used to stand. However, two new Metro cafes have popped up, one in Ferrymead and the other in Merivale. The Ferrymead version lacks the atmosphere of the old café but is handy for locals looking for a decent coffee, a quick meal or to stock up their pantry with petite jars of honey, chutneys, cured meats, cheeses and fresh bread.
