Tucked away on the picturesque Chester Street East on the edge of central Christchurch sits Lily & Langford, a specialty boutique for children and mothers. The cute corner store space within a red brick building is filled with carefully curated products that tick the boxes of being ethical and environmentally conscious, beautiful, practical and durable.

Owner-operator Unity Kortekaas is passionate about quality products for mamas and bubbas and has handpicked brands for her store that she feels completely confident using herself. A mother of two sons, the younger of whom you might meet at Lily & Langford, Unity knows how important well made products that stand the test of time are for young families. Before setting up her own store, Unity found that when she was looking for products for her own use or for gifts, there was a real lack of a store that stocked unique, quality items for young children in Christchurch. While online options are abundant, there is nothing quite like feeling a product and seeing it with your own eyes before a purchase decision is made. Thus the idea for the brick-and-mortar Lily & Langford boutique was born.

In the store, you’ll find locally and globally made high quality products from organic children’s clothing in calm natural tones to a lovely selection of children’s picture books, quality baby products, backpacks made of recycled materials, high end products for mothers to be and more. Lily & Langford is the perfect store to step into to find that special gift for a baby shower – and if you can’t make up your mind on which items to choose, Unity has put together some ready-made gift boxes filled with thoughtfully gathered items that are sure to delight any mother-to-be.

If you live further afield and can’t make it into the store, Lily & Langford also runs an online store.
